During my 100 day stay at an ashram in the Nilgiri Mountains of India, my yoga guru, talked about “The Power of Intention”. He explained that our energy, our thoughts, our intentions, and our habits create our world. He took out a penny, closed his eyes in silence for a brief moment and pressed the penny to the wall…and it stuck there. Next, he stuck a penny on the ceiling…and it stuck there. Many of us asked what he used to adhere the penny and he replied “100% Pure Energy and Intention”. He gave each of us a penny and we pressed them against the wall as hard as we could - but as soon as we removed our fingers the apparently un-energized penny dropped to the floor. With all of us seemingly disappointed, he asked us to focus and steer our energy, intentions, and knowingness through the penny and through the wall, with gentleness, not force. On the second try...
